Update on Provider Zoom: Telehealth Services The Telehealth services have been extended for 90 days, approximately from the end of the Public Health Emergency (PHE). The end of the PHE was scheduled for April 16, 2022, and now has a new date of July 15, 2022. Under the PHE, you are to file the telehealth claims with POS 11 and append modifier 95 to indicate a telehealth service. When the PHE is finally over, a new ruling was published on January 1, 2022, instructs that telehealth services provided when the patient is in their home, should be reported with new POS code 10. The billing system should be updated to report the appropriate POS code for telemedicine visits.
