Over the past decade we have witnessed a steady increase in technological capabilities for the home, car, and office. If you’ve ridden in a Tesla with Full-Self-Driving capabilities you’ve seen some of the most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) on the market applied to one of the most high-risk activities in the world. And if you have, you’ve almost certainly been scared to [near] death! It does some things amazingly well … like lane-changing on the interstate, adaptive following in heavy traffic, and lane-keeping on most roads. But in the city making a left hand turn across traffic – your 7-year-old could do better. While many will dismiss these types of technologies as ‘niche’ and sometimes even ‘failures’ they do, in fact, continue to improve on a monthly cadence and will in the near future rock our world.
The same is true in our lives within the healthcare revenue cycle. We have seen many technologies come and go. Many with amazing promise yet dismal results. The holy grail of automation is still out-of-reach but that does not mean these technologies cannot provide improved automated processes and return cost savings for the RCM client – when evaluated careful and deployed appropriately.
In 2020 ACE joined hank.ai to accelerate our race to become the market leader in coding technologies and revenue cycle automation and augmentation. Since that time, we’ve continued to evolve our automated coding engine and we also innovated a product called DocuVision that uses computer vision technology (like Tesla uses) to automate much of the tasks related to document identification, organization, and data entry from scanned documents and pdfs. We have put our talents together into designing a workflow-optimized revenue cycle frontend platform that can reduce the costs from document capture through claim generation by up to 50%. We up front admit that we have not yet developed full self-driving RCM system, but our innovations drastically reduced the time and costs of claim creation.
We’ve been quietly building for over the past 3 years and are now ready to share our time and cost saving inventions with our current clients and the revenue cycle industry.
