Lots of Surprises with Surprises Billing

The No Surprises Act (NSA) was effective January 1, 2022, which requires the conveying entity/provider to issue good faith estimates to those that private pay and out-of-network patients and establishes an appeal process for unacceptable payments.  While all anesthesia and pain groups are familiar with the rules surrounding the NSA, several groups are struggling to operationalize the process.
