Donna Schlemmer, CPC, has more than thirty years of experience in billing operations and reimbursement management and reporting; 18 years specifically in anesthesia and pain management. For twenty years, Schlemmer was employed at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO where she managed the front-end processes, accounts receivables, and financial reporting for the Departments of Surgery and Anesthesiology. Well versed in billing and accounts receivable software technology, she converted the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, to the IDX billing and accounts receivable (BAR) System. Schlemmer formed a medical billing company in 1998 exclusively for anesthesia and pain management services.  From 2005 to present, she has been employed with Auditing for Compliance and Education, Inc. (ACE) as a compliance auditor and, in 2006 she received her Certified Procedural Coding (CPC) certification.

Donna's expertise has allowed her to head-up the reimbursement audit services at ACE.  Her analytical approach fine tunes practices managed care reimbursement to ensure that groups are paid fairly for the services they provide.
